Terms of Service

Effective: April 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PlanMason (operated by Clevara LLC DBA PlanMason), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access PlanMason.

2. Description of Service

PlanMason is an AI-powered business plan builder. The service guides you through a structured interview process, provides AI coaching on your answers, and generates a professional business plan document. Additional features include financial projection worksheets, lender-ready document exports (DOCX and XLSX), plan health scoring, and funding program matching.

3. Account Registration

To use PlanMason, you must create an account. You must be at least 18 years old to register. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@planmason.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PlanMason for any unlawful purpose, to submit false or misleading information with fraudulent intent, to attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the platform, to interfere with or disrupt the service, or to use automated tools to access the service without written permission. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. AI Disclaimer and Advisor Review

PlanMason uses artificial intelligence to coach your answers, build business plan content, and produce financial projections. This output is intended as a starting point and planning aid. It is not legal advice, financial advice, or investment advice. Projections are estimates based on the information you provide and general industry benchmarks. They are not guarantees of future performance.

PlanMason does not guarantee that your business plan will secure funding, loan approval, or any specific business outcome. Final fund-readiness depends on the read of a qualified advisor: SBDC advisor, banker, CPA, or attorney. We recommend walking your plan through your local SBDC office (free, federally-funded, every state) before submission. You should consult qualified legal, financial, and business professionals before making decisions based on your plan. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all content in your plan.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of the content you create through PlanMason, including your interview answers, financial data, and the resulting business plan documents. You grant PlanMason a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

PlanMason retains all rights to its platform, technology, design, branding, and underlying systems. We may use anonymized, aggregated data (with all personally identifiable information removed) to improve the service and develop new features. We will never share your individual plan content with third parties without your explicit consent.

7. Payment Terms

PlanMason offers both one-time purchases and subscription plans. All prices are listed in US dollars. One-time purchases (such as the Lender-Ready Financial Package) are non-refundable once the plan has been generated or the export has been downloaded. Subscription plans can be canceled at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days advance notice. Price changes will not affect active subscription periods that have already been paid.

8. Limitation of Liability

PlanMason is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clevara LLC and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid to PlanMason in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You acknowledge that business decisions carry inherent risk, and PlanMason is not responsible for decisions made based on the plan content produced by the service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to PlanMason at any time for violations of these terms, abusive behavior, or fraudulent activity. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@planmason.com. Upon account deletion, your plan data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the service. Your continued use of PlanMason after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the service.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service shall be resolved in the courts located in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
